Default Header Name for .IMG file

Does anybody know how to change / write a new Header name (red squares in picture) in an .img file ?
In Gmaptool I only find a way to change the mapsetname but not for the Header name..

No problem! Extract MPS section from .img file with Gmaptool. Recompile it as you want and when assemble .img again. In HEX editor you do of reverse engineering for MPS section without easily...
For mapsource instalation modify a product.tdb file by same way...

No, only the Header name, which is visible in the Garmin-unit, as in the picture above, in the red squares.
I have extracted the img-file with GMaptool and created a tdb-file.
How do I change the Header name in the TDB-file ?

    Yes of course!
If you do not want a complications you may replace a name to other with same length. If the your name length is different you must correct HEX value for your length in file.
Also there are two names in TDB for each map. One for Mapsource and second for device...

Try using a little-known old tool - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Main menu > Fichier > Ouvrir un fichier img... > Editer les noms de groupes de cartes (CDSetNames) > enter a new custom name > Appliquer ...

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

but everytime when I click Appliquer I get the following error:

Unfortunately, ImgTool program is crude, but it works for me.

P.S. There is a grave flaw in the ImgTool - this new name is limited to within the length of original name.
