    Default Unlocking region on Mapsource Atlantic 4.00

    Hi,
    Could anyone guide me (or give a thread to), how to unlock specific regions on Mapsource Atlantic 4.00. I have a Garmin 168 (plotter/fishfinder) and have unit ID etc.

    In advance a lot of thanks,

    Bisse

    BlueChart Atlantic v4.00 has FID/MapID=13

    You should absolutely NOT use any unlocker, just the JetMouse KG, if you would like sets with different regions. That's the best way to use BlueChart legacy charts since the wildcard unlock for RgnID=0 & VenID=0 gives too much map tiles to pick with the map tool in MapSource. Just add key(s) for each region that you want to enable. It's also easy to combine map tiles from different enabled regions in MapSource if needed. All necessary unlock keys will be embedded in the resulting "gmapsupp.img" when MapSource builds the map.

    Use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with your Unit ID or memory card ID in combination with FID/MapID=13 plus the PID, RgnID & VenID from the regions in this table:

    The table is not complete for Atlantic area and some map regions are added after BlueChart v4.
    FID/MapID varies by map version but PID, RgnID & VenID remains the same for a specific map region.
    PID=1
    Regular regions - RgnID=2 or 17
    Large regions - RgnID=4
    Small regions - RgnID=5
    eXtra large BlueChart g2 regions - RgnID=18
    VenID (or more correct SubRgnID) changes for each map region.

    Take a look here for more alternatives:

    ...and if you mean BlueChart Atlantic, I recommend to search for last version 10.50 (2008.5) or try new G2 maps.

    Thanks. Problem is that the MApsource version I use makes it possible to see boat on map. The later versions of GArmin MApsource does for some odd reason not have this feature. Garmin confirms this. They have not even been able to answer what version was the latest w. this feature. I would have liked to have he most recent versions of the maps though, but I guess I will have to do with what I have.
