Cool cityExplorer nüvi 1490T question !?

    Hi there guys.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but I'm new to this. Thanks to this great community I could update my garmin unit maps. As I've seen this cityExplorer thing I tought to give it a try and install it. As many of the screenshots showing how to activate and use are mode on high end models, I would like to ask the owners of this of brother models:

In my sistem setting I can set the unit to consider my trip by "vehicle, pedestrian or bycicle". Then on navigation settings I see that I can't choose the tipe of transportation. It is grayed out and It says "Activated". Should'nt it be possible to choose bus or whatever ? Or do I need to actually be in the supported city ?

If someone can clirify a bit all my questions I thank Him in advance.

Keep up the good work !

PD: Oh I have 2013.10 city navigator Nt europe, and cityexplorer 2012.40 fullCX etc. downloaded from the map section.

Did you see "Powered by cityXplorer Maps" on menu?

Does this means it does not work or isn't detected correctly ? Thank you. Maybe the 1490T model does not support this feature ?! :Animated34:

Also offered on nüvi 1490T are standard nüvi features that go beyond navigation:

enhanced pedestrian navigation capabilities — pairs great with optional cityXplorer™ maps to navigate big cities

catymag i've done what It says but I don't know if the FID I have to use is the one for the 2013.10 o 2012.40 map version. Maybe I should have asked there, so please excuse me if the post I created is duplicitary in some way.

To unlock them create an .unl file with JM kg and FID 800- The PID needed are 1, 0, 0 (the default ones). The names of .img and .unl should be the same, different extensions.

These FID 800 CXs will work on all CXs compatible devices too
    and in Cx EU thread:

To unlock pedestrian features and public transports add the FullCXEU_2012.40.unl file made with Jetmouse KG and FID 800.
(Dont use unlockers , dont use in JM kg. CNE FID or PID 2 etc. ,add just FID 800 ).
Put the two files in your "Map" folder preferably in sd.

    4) EUcx .img name and .unl name must be the same ,different extensions- To make the .unl with JM Kg use just FID 800(no PID)
Before posting it doesnt work ,please read with care instructions

    Both tested working in nuvi 1200, 34xx ,3790, 2xxx
