Default Setting Elevation on Nuvi 775t screen

I have the 775t set to the UK as default country but I cannot in any of the settings find how to in the bottom right of the main screen show feet not meters.

    Anybody got any ideas?

That does not work. Why would I change to Kilometres? We don't use kilometres in the UK. Doing what you suggest does not change the elevation to 'feet'.

You can try the next variant!
In text editor like Notepad for Windows you may open the file Garmin\Locales.xml in Nuvi. Make backup copy before you open it!!!
Then find in this file the next block.
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
    And change parameter <Units> to:
    <Units>Statute</Units>

Further you need to reset device and again select "locale" for UK. Height must be in feet.
Attention!!! When you will reset device you will loose all data: waypoints, routes and setting. You will need make backup of waypoints, routes and restore its after reset.
