Default Can Garmin Nuv i205 work with gdp files?

    Hi

    I have a Garmin nuvi 205
I understand that for maps for this model, we use gmapsupp.img
    For world map, its gmapbmap
For POI , its gpi files

But what is gdp files? now of days some maps posted re in gdp format. How to i use or install them to my Nuvi 205?
I understand that i require mapsource but what file format will appear when i transfer to my device

Another question is, as the POI files are in gpi format, how do i combine them with gmapsupp.img files?
As i use the gmap tool and check an older map of MalSing 4.10 , i saw that there were poi in the map which contains blks, post code, etc

    Advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks

What is this gdp format? Nuvis only work with img map garmin format.

Custom POIs created in a separate file gpi stay in a folder x:/Garmin/POI. Why do you need to combine img map and poi gpi file in one file? Not possible of course. Unless you have the source.

May be GMP files to had in mind?
Anything is possible. GMP is new format of single maps files what we needs combine for obtain a gmapsupp.img container by Mapsource or by gmaptool. Usualy it is not enough them in order that map work properly without other subfiles which be responsible for address searching for example.
