Thread: Garmin 421S marine unit

I have a G2 Bluechart "borrowed" from a friend and was hoping to make it work in a garmin 421S marine unit. I ran the IMG file through the Fast IMG Unlocker (from here) and it seemd to do something though I dunno what exactly. I ran the same original IMG file through "Unlock BlueChart g2 & g2 Vision Maps.rar" downloaded here, and the script file kept saying that it could not find a locked IMG file? I have not been home to try the SD card out in the 421S unit as yet so maybe the Fast Unlocker did the trick. Question is would it matter that the IMG mapset I have is no longer issued from Garmin, VUS023R-Seattle? I think it has been replaced with a larger mapset covering more of Seattle to Canada. Thanks for any insight
