    Unhappy Edge 705: History corrupted

    Hi,
i really need some help: Coming back after a very nice transalp with my MTB and EDGE 705 (which on the way worked nicely, I was able to follow the route i transferred before and it seemd to save all the data), i linked the edge to my pc via USB. At first, all seemd fine but then i looked into the history folder and there i saw numerous files with just rubbish names and often using some GB of memory space (of course this is not possible as the edge does not offer this much internal memory). I cannot get access to those files and also cannot delete them (..kann nicht gelöscht werden. Die Quelldatei oder vom Quellenträger kann nicht gelesen werden - source data cannot be read, or something like this). I used training center to tranfer the data, but although some details (km driven, calories used) are there, the ascend or descend are missing (for me, most important). In addition, there i not data of the tracks to be shown on the maps i have installed.
Maybe this has to do with a new version of training center i installed just before i left? Or that i use ******* maps on the garmin and in mapsource and basemap? I really do not have any idea. In basecamp, the data of my transalp (and one tour i did before) are not transferred.
What has changed with the edge, it now lasts quite long to actually start or stop and activity after pressing the start/stop button. This i have been noticing also for some days or a few weeks now.
So please someone, i need some clues what to do. Flashing the whole internal memory? But how? Please help
    Thank u
