    Default gmap3d.img and nuvi 1490

Just installed CNEU 2012_10 on my nuvi 1490 and played around a bit. Even though 3D buildings are not supported on the 1490, the building outlines will show up in 2D on the map if you do the following:
    - copy unlocked gmap3d.img into garmin folder on sd card or .system folder on unit
    - verify that gmap3d.img is recognized by the nuvi by checking the map/info page. It should be listed a a separate entry named CN Europe NT 2012.10 3D.
    - make sure the map is enabled (check box)
    - display map, go to center of any bigger city in Europe and zoom down to 50m
    - building outlines will be displayed in dark grey.

I have used Fast Image unlocker 2.1 on my gmap3d.img file and transferred it to the .system folder but it doesn't show up in the list of maps. I therefore suspect it isn't unlocked. Is there a recommended tool to unlock the img or is there a tool to obtain the ID information so I can generate a .unl file? Thanks

Answering my own post above - using the latest version of Alternative unlocker (v6.02) I managed to unlock the gmap3d.img file. Can confirm rob63's findings above on the 1490T too. Cheers.
