To see topo maps is better to use Basecamp.

You can put the img in an sd too, in a Garmin directory , Basecamp will see it. read also here coz some maps need a trick to see them in basecamp

Have you put Mapsource details at max when using it?
You can put a map in internal memory probably named gmapsupp.img or gmapprom1.img, must test it

    Hi,
Thanks for your input. After quite some time i was able to check on some things. If i put a gmapsupp.img on both the internal memory and the sd card, i can choose between the maps. Very well. I am glad. i did not try the gmapprom1.img, probably it won't work, i guess.
But i experienced some problems with the basecamp application. I installed it and use the patched exe file and it works ( I guess), but shows the maps already unlocked in mapsource. I downloaded the topo italia v2 and unlocked it via unlocker but i cannot get it to basecamp. I tried putting it on a sd card, but there basecamp does not offer anything. I also used the thing with gmap tool, but nothing changed. Did i miss something?

    Thanks a lot
