Talking "Resetting" default base maps on Garmin 1200

Hi, I've broken my Garmin, trying to update the unit.

Now it says "can't unlock maps"

How do I default back to factory maps, without sending unit back to Garmin?

As this was a stupid thing to do, I'll appreciate a simple answer.

Maps are files with extension img. If you used Mapsource to install new map, that it should be on your device as \Map\gmapsupp.img. If you copied your map to nuvi, than you should know, what and where you wrote. You have to remove this file to get ride of "can't unlock maps". Better first make a copy of any file you are going to delete from nuvi.
