    Hi tom1808,

Sorry. A slight change of scope. At first, I thought only encrypted POI files could be placed in the Where-To menu. Now that I know it is not required, I decided to make the POI Loader equivalent and provide this ability. Loading WAV and MP3 are much easier than I thought. They are next in line. As for proximity and speed alert, I just need an evening more to finalize it. I already got 99% of it. There is just one byte that is bugging me.

I guess crypted poi files will be for a next challenge. So far, I just decoded a few bytes by hand. I am far away from decrypting the entire file automatically.

Not only this, I hope I can load then my POI's in a way that they are visible while I am passing them amd having also a custom symbol, without having a notification.
Still bothers me that the Nuvis have no built-in symbol for Ground transportation

Oooooh! I forgot to mention the icon must be a 256-color bitmap format. Not 16-bit, not 24-bit and not 32-bit color format. Only 256-color. This is the native GPS format.

So I think anyways. I need to try other BMP formats with POI Loader to see what will happen. EPE may support other BMP formats in the future.

1). This may be my fault. I'll check
2). This may be normal. Depends on the GPS I guess. Does it do that with POI Loader?
3). Size? I think it is 24x24. It would explain the small cliping.

Ok. I'll make a few tests tonight.

How did you manage to display the icons on the 3790? They do not show up on the map for my 3750 with CHN v2.20.

But should normally show up. From my knowledge, all Asian Firmware show Custom POI's in all Zoomlevels, not like Euro/US, where the custom POI's are only visible below 80m

    My 3790 is US boot + Sg/My fw_all 2.30 + Sg/My resources.bin
and zoom level <= 80 m. to show my custom icon on map.

    not other special to do.
