Thumbs down Problems with CNEUNT 2011.30

The first release of Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2011.30 have severe routing problems in some regions.

Probably all files will be updated and put into a "2011.30b" release when it arrives. More info will come if and when Garmin actually release the update.

EDIT: Garmin now says that the corrections will not come until the next major release. The interim / maintenance release will not be released as mentioned earlier.

Garmin plans for an updated release of a new maintenance package during week 48.

Could you be more specific about these claims? What exactly do you mean by "severe routing problems"? Any links with further evidence and descriptions? Where exactly did you see that Garmin announced the new maintenance package? Any official statement about that?

I tried to find all of that myself (OK, I admit, I wasn't persistent, but nevertheless...), but I couldn't find anything on that subject.

Seems like catymag took one of my posts and made a new thread of that one.
Problems are reported mainly in Sweden and Germany from what I know.

Here's an example with some of the Swedish problematic streets / addresses:

    Problems with routing
    by Lenny »Fri November 26 2010, 10:05

Is there anyone who has had problems with route calculation with the new map 2011.30?
In my nuvi 550 I just get a message: "unable to calculate route" to certain addresses.
thought it was gps'n so I tried my old Nuvi 300 with the same problem: "Route calculation error"
I bend to the old 2011.20 instead how it works .?????
The address of the case are as thorns street, gustavsgatan.industrigatan in Örebro.
Please come with suggestions what it could be.
It may be added saying that the map is the lifetime update (none from pirate bay.)

    Problems routing

    Post by ahng »Sat November 27, 2010, 21:52
I have been in contact with garmin and according to them, so be via webupdater fix the problem of routing, the update will come in v48, for information.
    ahng
WebUpdater can't solve a map problem of this kind for routing problems in MapSource and Garmin GPS units. It must be a Map Updater release that they meant.

In cases like this Garmin only gives responses to people that's giving the error reports. No information at Garmin Web sites for this kind of embarrassing problems.
This scenario is the same as with City Navigator Europe NT 2010.30 and the releases of 2010.30b & 2010.30c due to road classification problems in Northern Italy.

Thank you, Ballebar, for these descriptions - were you able to reproduce these difficulties on your device with 2011.30 version of the map?

Anyhow, week 48, when according to your sources release 2011.30b should be out, is just about to end, so let's see what will happen. Looking forward to new info.
