? Classic eTrex 20 problem is not solved to me

I have eTrex 20 with a classic problem to stuck on Garmin logo. No problem with force USB and preboot!
In USB mode file system was checked, cleared and I do not have any problem.
In preboot mode the lucky do not want to hurry to me. Only on SW 2.80 RGN (the last existence of working SW in device) either Original or Cure have some progress but unit stuck after beginning update without a success. I had tried to use the service SW from support on garmin.de with attempt to go in preboot without batteries with holding the Power button but it is not work.

What can I do with this creature at next step of undocumented torture?

Could be hardware problem? Damaged flash perhaps?

You have a credit card? Bosh! I don't believe that. But i do believe you are capable of unsweating the flash chip and then either reprogramming it or replacing it with a healthy chip. How's your reballing skills?

Quite seriously, I just reckon if you have been unable to find and resolve a software problem then there isn't one and so that only leaves a faulty chip.

As the owner legend said the eTrex did not switched ON at a one beautiful day. I am clever and I tried use very secret command after that it switched ON but stucked at Garmin logo...
The device was bought from russian distributor and so it do not have extended guaranty from Garmin. Of course we can press on our Garmin representative for replace unit for a nominal charge but it is not the case...

@Giomen , I recommend an obvious procedure, but you may not have done. I've had similar problems with my Etrex 30 and the process of installation of the new firmware took almost of 30 minutes. If you can get into pre-boot "forget " the GPS updating and only come back to check after some time. Another obvious step is to try with other firmware, newer or older. I would try with the latest , v3.70. Finally, there is a noeman's user who knows very well the firmware and hardware of Etrex 20, I believe that his name is Hauter or something. Surely he can help you..

You want I turn you into a frog? 'Cos i'll do it! [Insert evil cackle here]

Seriously, I wasn't p*ssing in your pocket when i said that it must be hardware. It bemused me that you would post here asking for software help.
Have you got the processor off it yet?
