Using TMC in Garmin nuvi for free

A GTM-20. Baffling actually. When you enter the code it works for a minute or so and then reverts to expired. Seems to me there is a second check somewhere we're missing.

wow this really works! I just tried it on my nuvi 765 GTM 20 in Australia and there it was, life subscription from suna. I also noticed afew people here having problems with their subscription getting expired after a minute of being accepted! So i had mine running for about 10 minutes connected to SUNA traffic showing the green traffic icon on screen to see if it'll happen to me or not but thankfully it remains subscribed, and fingers crossed it will remain so

Would like to know which device you guys are using when that happened?

for me it doesn't work because in Generator v 1.5 in field "FID" I can only write 4 digits instead of yours 5.

in Garmin mobile no "Traffic" menu in Setting.

Dear All,

I have Nuvi 760 with GTM 20, which i bought back in 2008. I tried the method described in this tread, and can't really get it to work.

(1) If i use TTN srevices, it would work for a while, then it became expried.

(2) If i use NAVTEG, then it also show that it needs to be actiivated when GPS & Provider signal become aveliable. But I'm in L.A. area, it should have signal, still not working. Any fix on this??

Please help~!

k, here's the deal. I have 2 codes for Navteq. One is the default from Garmin that came with the Nuvi device for lifetime (ad supported traffic). The other is the one with no Ads. I also have the TTN (clear channel) that I used with jetmouse.

The TTN is the default in my area but it blows. I really dont want to use it. When I was Vegas recently, the stronger channel was Navteq but ads were shown. In my case the the ad version is overiding the non ad and three codes appear on the Nuvi traffic logs.

maybe I entered an invalid navteq code? i thought i read somewhere that there are two different navteq keys as there are ttn keys. Apparently 28935 for NAVTEQ will not turn off the advertisements so there appears to be a different code to enable NAVTEQ and disable ads?

any way of removing TTN?

My suggestion, why not post here the codes u have?
Second, Navteq needs always to have the Codes for USA and Canada saved in your device, even you are not in Canada.
Similar like Destia Nordics which requires all 3 codes.
