Hi, I don't know how to get screen shots. But if you go into settings / traffic all you see is a pop up box saying "A traffic receiver accessory is required to receive live traffic updates" and the only thing you can do is click OK to close the box - no further screens giving any details or info on settings.

    Screenshot for 24x5: Tools>Display>Check Screenshot.
GTM25 and 24x5 are compatible. Try hard resetting the Nuvi with the receiver attached and let the nuvi get a sat lock with the receiver attached in your vehicle.

OK thanks. I see the screenshot option. How do I do a hard reset, and do I need to back up my favourites etc first?

Yes, always back up before a hard reset. To hard reset, disconnect the receiver/power lead from power source, then turn unit off completely by holding power button down for several seconds, select 'off'. Hard reset won't work in standby mode. Hold bottom RH corner and turn unit on. When prompted, press Yes.

Well, I backed up the data and did a hard reset as above, waited for it to find a signal and I get the same error message. The module is from China and in used condition so I'm going to guess it's faulty I think I can send it back, but it was rather cheap in the first place. Oh well - live and learn.

The GTM 25 has a chronic problem in one of the connectors of data of cable terminal, I've had several with this problem. To be sure if it works, go to Diagnostics Page (Volume menu, press and hold the upper right corner of the screen). Choose the option Developer Info and post here the 3 Traffic screens to avaliation. In one must appear the subscription, in the other the radio stations TMC Traffic and in other information about tune and receptor. In the Traffic Status screen if nothing appears, move the cable and see if any information appears. If nothing happens after you move the terminals and cable in various positions, your cable be defective and may be used only to charge the batteries. Obviously it is worth remembering that the Traffic receiver only work with the cable connected to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.

Hi, and thanks for the reply. Got a bit further this time. The 2445 wanted to update traffic software and I let it, went into the developer screen and here are the screenshots.[Only registered and activated users can see links. ][Only registered and activated users can see links. ][Only registered and activated users can see links. ][Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

As I said earlier, the unit is for US / Canada and it seems to recognise this, but I am in the UK and wanting to add subscriptions for the UK.
