Guide RunMeForCode (create a meta/blowfish code from genuine map)

RunMeForCode (create a meta/blowfish code from genuine map)
Thanks to ??? for this which is based on the good old Easytools

    Help.txt incl:-
How to create meta (blowfish) codes

you have to be the original owner of the map.

    1. Plug your tomtom device with USB to the computer

    2. copy RunMeforCode.exe to your TomTom device map/voice directory or run it directly from desktop

    3. Run RunMeforCode.exe

    4. Done... meta.txt created in map/voice directory

    5. Copy/paste contents of this meta.txt to share with others here:- [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

This tool based to TTuser Easytools

remember... meta data not contain any personal information from you or your device. It is safe to share

    History:
    RunMeforCode 1.0.0.1 - First release
RunMeforCode 1.0.0.2 - Fix to double results
RunMeforCode 1.0.0.3 - Just icon changed

This tool is also integrated to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    "original owner of the map."
If I have access to a legitimate map, legitimately activated on a TomTom and make/get a copy on a SD; Will RunmeforCode produce a good Meta? Or: what determines original owner?

That would comply with an original owner
The simple reason behind is that the generated meta codes only work if they are genereated from a map activated by TT and not a map that was activated with a tool.
    To speak in noob terms:
You can generate a meta for us to share if :
    1. you just bought a new TT and got the latest map either direct or using the latest map update
    2. you used Home or some other genuine supplier (like your car dealer for some devices) to buy your new map

You can not supply a meta code if your downloaded the map and activate the map yourself using any form of patcher/keygen or tool for the job.

Hope that's now clear enough for everyone

if illegal map works in device, that mean meta data is already released...
because you've got it activated...so that mean, you got same meta data what is released already from some legal map

I wonder if it's enough to get one meta code from one legally bought map or if you need more of them and "compile" the codes together to create generic meta code?

If it's the first case and only one legal map is enough I don't understand why you are you so sceptic about getting new metas? Even if each of the members here would give only $1 we can buy all maps available and share the meta codes?

    Do I miss something?

OK, it's quite a lot of $$, but still - this idea seems viable to me... fine, not every 3 months and not all maps, but to be honest: is really necessary to update map each 3 months? I have my TT ONE over 5 years now and did only 2 updates - one legal and one from here (few days ago).

What we need is a means to extract (from a legit TT) what we need to create a meta, in a very simple, clean way: idealy just plug in a SD/MicroSD, and its saved on the SD.
Under winCe there was a specific (numeric) file name, that would AutoExecute on insertion of an SD. Is there such a means on (Linux based?) TT??

No there isn't but to be fair, RunMeForCode is as simple as it gets surely?
