Default What am I doing? No idea...

    Hi all.

Am completely new to all this GPS stuff and am drowning in a load of info i'm not fully understanding right now.

    I have a problem.. maybe a few..

Trying to get my new GPS software updated, or at least to see if anything needs updating.

Recently [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Which comes with gps
When I start the gps, I get a display screen that says M3GPS i3..
In the lower left corner there is an iGo/Primo logo.. and another little bit that says I can do updates on naviextras...

Well, Navi ask me for my '[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]'.... I do not have a brand name as you may have noticed in the above link..

Then, reading through some posts here and elsewhere, i got the inclination to download there "toolbox" for my pc in order to attempt to update etc etc etc...

I run the toolbox and it asks me to connect my device.. which is firmly secured in the dashboard of my car.. and there appears to be no option for connecting just the SD card to my pc in order for the toolbox to recognise that..

So, after a visit to the M3GPS website, the iGo site AND Naviextras, I am still none the wiser and no better off.. plus i have a load of other questions which I can see have/are being covered in this forum (speedcam voices/warnings etc)

Is it me or is this software a mix of different companies or just what the heck is going on?
any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

Why even bother with "official" update?? You and we are here to make things easier and cheaper..What you'll need to do is to change current iGO software which is (I believe) on your SD card, with the crack*d iGO version. After that you can easily add newer maps, pois and other content without naviextras..Just copy/paste. Simple as that.

But first of all you'll need to check whether iGO app is on SD card or on the internal storage. That is crucial info for the next steps. You can also make some screen shots of the SD card folder/files structure.

    Oh.. I did kinda wonder

Cool.. iGo is on the SD card. GPS wont work without the card inserted.. and I've seen the application for it in the folders.

So, learning curve here we come
Looking forwards to the nest set of instructions, oh and I'll get some screen shots of my folder set too .
