WIN CE Need YOUR help with CASKA / SYGIC / WINCE > iGO > SOLVED

    Dear all of you,

I bought a Honda Civic with build in the Caska CA3651 Caska OEM style 2 Din unit for Honda Civic. It worked perfectly with Sygic on a 4 GB SD-CARD.

Unfortunately i lost that SD-card. I already downloaded 10 times SYGIC and I made a file maplaunch.ini which this system needs.
I read a topic on this forum how to made the file maplaunch.ini.

But still no result, only a black screen.

I called around or tried to get copies from others. No result.

Couls someone help me and tell me what to do!

    Bye from Netherlands

    Hello,

    here try this setup:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I combined base files from SD card of some other Casca unit and added iGO primo 2.4 so there is absolutely no guarantee that this will work on your Casca 2-din. But you can at least try. Setup is combined with iGO primo 2.4 as I think it's better choice than Sygic

    instructions:
    - unpack and copy all files and folders from the archive on a fat32 formatted 4 GB SD card.

    good luck!

    Dear JANCH,

YOU HELPED ME A LOT! IT WORKS PERFECTLY. AMAZING AFTER 20 HOURS OF A LOT TROUBLES

I only get the OUT of MEMORY problem. After 5 minutes of driving the system will crash with this problem.
    Can someone help?

    THANK YOU THANK YOU

    Edit:

    Hello JANCH,

I wrote is worked perfectly. But it only works couple of minutes. After that I get the wellknown OUT OF MEMORY crash.
I tried different types of sys.txt but it is still crashing. Can you help me SYGIC?

    Bye from Netherland

Ok "out of memory" problems on iGO Primo software often appears on the units with RAM lower than 128 Mb. I assume that your Casca unit (I still don't know what is your exact model) has only 64 MB. In that case it's maybe better that you install the most stable Primo version which is 1.2 from my experiences and works perfectly on a mid range HW systems. So we can try another setup with iGO primo 1.2:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

ps: I strongly dis-advise installing Sygic, because there is still no permanent activation available, so you'll have to periodically generate and update trial codes. That's why I still think iGO is way better solution in every aspect (installation, better coverage, better GUI, better overall experience). Also, If you are intending to install Sygic, you'll have to edit Sygic settings.ini file where you'll need to modify paths to it's resource files, maps, content info...

I have almost the same situation. I have a caska Radio the link where i bought it from is here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and it is from the my 2007 toyota rav 4. Let me tell you the sygic software where i bought it from was horrible I never use the GPS from this radio since it took my in circles. Is there anyway I can update maps for it or even Change the WIN CE software on it since it just terrible.

please make some screenshots of your SD card content. Crucial info is file/folder structure of the navigation data.

I hope I can change it to the IGO instead of the Sygic software

Obviously it all on SD card (program+map data) therefore it shouldn't be a problem installing iGO. Download this primo version:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

unpack and copy folder Primo on SD card. Than go to settings on your 2-din and set path to a new software - there should be an icon "nav path" (or something similar) where you can set new navigation path and save.

Make sure that you make a backup of your original SD card, or better - use a new one. 8 GB is perfect.
