Default looking for garmin 1350 again

hello, i have been at this for about three hours now. Looking to fix my 1350 which is stuck at the loading screen. It has been working fine before i just think that it needs a reformat or something. Anyway i am on the part where you unplug the use, hold the screen, plug it in and use updater.exe however every single firmware i have tried, CURE or regular or whatever, it always says "can not update problem writing to the memory region" or something along those lines. so can anyone please point me to the *correct* firmware (CURE or regular) for the 1350? thanks.

Do you have the original GUPDATE.GCD that came with the Nuvi. ?
If you have try that one with GarminCure3 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

If you have win7 x64 then this is reason for error, becouse updater.exe dont work on this win.
Try on Pc with win7 32bit or on pc with xp.
A lot of user with win7 64bit report problem with updater.exe but when this user run updater.exe on win7 32bit or Xp,no more problems

hi, thank you for the replies.

-no, i do not have the original software, as this was a purchase from ebay.

-the original computer i was trying was windows 7 64 bit, but i have just now tried it with a 32 bit windows xp computer and it gives the same error. The exact error i am getting is:
"The GARMIN device is unable to program the requested memory region"

    i have tried getting this:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
with the view>source download, converting it, and putting it on updater.

and also both of the ones on this page:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
    any other ideas for me?

First you must instal Garmin usb drivers

    http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=591

Then download and extract on xp Pc on desctop this:

    http://www27.zippyshare.com/v/98934530/file.html

Flash with folder Cure in pre boot and updater will work and you will have access to mass storage.

    p.s.
If this wont work then you have MTK chip on nuvi.

i am not sure what you mean with that hwid, the link does not go to a tutorial on it?

anyway the firmware you provided does the same error.

On the screen of the garmin during the attempted update, it says "software missing"

the error from updater.exe is "the GARMIN device is unable to program the requested memory region."

    thanks again for the replies.

To cure your Nuvi you must flash via Updater.exe
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
a Kunix's cure linked above by dasivarsa made with the right firmware.
To make this cure you must know the firmware HWID (Hardware ID), to download the right firmware for building the cure.
I havent linked any firmware ,I linked an application (G7ToWin) you can use to discover your device HWID.
