Question What ASR file(s) do I need for my nuvi?

    Hi Folks,

Imagine I downloaded 12 ASR files for map.

Is there any way to understand which should I put onto my device?

The quick look into shows sort of ID in teh file header (something like 006-D3141-12)
Can it be mapped to HWID or somehow else?

    Thanks!

Every map and map version has his own ASR files. ASR files can be different in different devices.
ASR files paths are shown in garmindevice.xml.
    006-D3141-12 is Garmin file identifier.

    Thanks , bro!

Yes, I know ASR files are certain map-dependent, I just thought it is possible somehow quickly understand which files I need (if not em all).
Now it seems more or less clear

I have a suspicion what full set are srx file plus 1 common POI file and plus number of each supported languages (srd)! For old devices is no srd and TTS voice for Finnish language and so this set is one file less
You can try to do test with deletion of file if you want...

P.S. But for regional maps from WebUpdate is no regional ASR set and only for full coverage it is available.
