Nuvi 1300 problems

I 'm a new user and I register few days ago my nuvi 1300 in mygarmin.com , trying to find maps of Europe. Then i found this forum, and start reading.....
After hours of reading I downloaded o torrent file and then i tried to to put an .img map in my device through a microsd card 4Gb (HC). No success! Just two more storage devices in My computer..
The problem is, after that i cannot see my device anymore in My Computer.
I cannot connect the nuvi with my laptop anymore, and my device can't be recognized !!
Any idea to solve that problem...

Try to remove the sd, may be the map corrupted in transferring it from the pc.
Use a card reader to copy IMGs to the sd, faster and safer. After removing the sd you can delete the img from the sd with your pc.

Everything OK!! one problem was the sd card, and the second problem was that i had to put .img in a file named map in sd card.
