Hi. For a Garmin Edge 810 does anyone have the .gcd update version? I would be interested in the old 2.7 to bring the edge back to life. Thank you.

    From the Garmin Support Center

My Edge is not recognized by my computer

Under some circumstances, your Edge may not be recognized as a USB device when you connect it to your computer or not boot it to the main menu. If this occurs, the device can be forced to activate mass storage mode so that it can be recognized by the computer and Garmin applications.

    From the Garmin Website:

To force an Edge to activate mass storage mode, follow the following steps:

Disconnect the device from the computer
    Turn off the device
    Hold down the correct button:
Edge 20: START/STOP (Top Right Button)
Edge 25: START/STOP (Top Right Button)
    Edge 200: PAGE/MENU
    Edge 500: PAGE/MENU
    Edge 510: LAP/RESET
    Edge 520: LAP/RESET
Edge 605: Hold the tumbler up
Edge 705: Hold up the tumbler
    Edge 800: LAP/RESET
    Edge 810: LAP/RESET<--------------
    Edge 820: LAP/RESET
    Edge 1000: LAP/RESET
    Edge 1030: LAP/RESET
    Edge Explore 820: LAP/RESET
    Edge Explore 1000: LAP/RESET
    Edge Touring/ Plus: LAP/RESET
Connect the device to your computer
Wait for the device to be recognized by the computer (this can take 30 seconds)
If requested, install the USB control programs:
    Choose "No, not now"
    Click Next
    Choose Install AUTOMATIC CONTROL Programs
Click Next and wait for the USB control programs to be installed
    Click Finish
    Release the button(s)

Sync history and update your device's software with Garmin Express
Click the appliance disc with the right mouse button
    Click Eject
Disconnect the device from your computer
Turn on the device (wait for the software to be updated)

Your device is now working properly again.

Yes, I know the procedure but the PC still doesn't see it.

Two possibilities. The fw file you're using is unsuitable for the device or it's faulty which is why WU reports "The update file is corrupted", or the device is soft-bricked and you need to cure it so as to reenable Mass Storage Mode to delete any bad file(s). In this case maybe it's just gupdate.gcd file causing it not to boot. Look here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
