Default The Basemap Vanished on Certain Zoom Level

    Hi!

I had trouble viewing map on Basecamp. I compiled and install maps using GMapTool. If I select 1 mapset, the basemap disappear. Please check attached images.

China Map contains CN and DEM

Indonesia Map contains CN, Topo, and DEM

But no problem on zooming for this Japan OSM map (which I downloaded from a link in this forum.) The downloaded zip files contains 2 IMG files. "gmapsupp.img" and "gmapsupp search.img" then I combine those maps using GMapTool into 1 IMG files. Load into USB drive and fire up Basecamp.

All maps are set to Transparent using GMapTool and the rest are:

    Thanks!

Set your Basecamp detail from "medium" to "highest" and see the results.
It's not "basemap", it's "overview map" which is a far out zoomed version of the map you see on the main screen.
With detail set to "medium" your "overview map" shows your map at 8 zoom levels higher.

Try this: with detail set to "medium" start at a zoom level that you see both the map and the overview map.
Start pressing the "-" key to zoom out and from the time your overview map disappears, press "-" 7 times more and your map will disappear too!
With detail set to "highest" map and overview map never disappear from the screen.

    Hi all!

    @X-Trail
Yes, I tried variations of detail level to the "Highest" but preview map still didn't appear.

So, I tried to combine a "Basemap NR 5.01" into the complilation in GMapTool, then I "Split" into mapsource and installed into basemap. The result is worse. Even detailed map not appear at highest detail setting and zoom level.

Then I download World Map V5. Installed it. Open in Basecamp, send all tiles to SD card. Combine other map using GMapTool. All I can get is error messege that Basecamp could not open the map and remove it from product list.

Is there any other way to create preview map? OR as @Giomen said to steal it from other map? I'm willing to learn, desperately.

    Thanks
