The Nepal maps I am using are jpg's and are not perfect rectangles. The map corners are aligned on the Lat/Long intersections so the map border is trapezoidal. Unusual yes.
Maps I am using I have downloaded from here

I have also compared my jnx output with openmtbmap viewed in BaseCamp. Roads align pretty well around the border.

With MAPC2MAPC use Edit>Crop then click Define Crop Area and you can draw the margins by clicking with the mouse; double-click to finish.

Just back from trekking in Nepal and using the maps of the Annapurna area on Etrex 20 which I prepared. All worked very well, though supplemented by locally bought paper map showing tourist relevant info.
I can upload my jnx files if they would be of interest.
