Thumbs up Choose between multiple custom maps of same area, possible?

On my Montana unit I am using custom maps for an archaeological survey.
I have several maps of one area, each containing different data.
Is there a way to choose a particular map for display, and suppress the others?

To my knowledge the only (obvious) way to do this is attaching the Montana to a computer, and renaming
the .kmz files (or the folder Custom Maps) as needed. But in the field this is not possible.

Is there a way to rename files or folders on the Garmin unit itself?

With .kmz - No. All kmz files are read, shown and choosed together as one. Not possible to chose one .kmz file to be dislayed only. Maybe this is possible with .jnx but I am not sure. Briefly - just buy a couple of SD cards. Or...enter in the pirate world If you wish take a look at the first topic in this section. It is about a tool that can creat garmin img files with embeded raster images inside. Unfortunately, we can't figure out what is the suported format of the rasters in the image files at the moment. No problem choosing which img file to be dislayed....

Thanks, I imagined so already. I have tried with .jnx too, same problem: all Birdseye files will be loaded at the same time.
I'll try the suggested software and find out if my .jpg or .kmz files can be converted into .img files....
In the meantime I am already using multiple SD cards, of which I have plenty - but it is a bit troublesome to keep changing those small things in the field.
