    Coudn't find much information about that format. Is it a raster or vector format? As I have wrote in the sticky topic the input format for garmin vector maps (.img) is .shp or .dxf:
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    If it is raster need to be converted to .kmz or .jnx.

    If I'm not mistaken, it is a raster image format designed for storing high resolution maps that is encrypted with the AES algorithm. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Therefore, I believe that converting of this format to Garmin - it is pointless ...

    In Memory Map Navigator it is possible to load the QCT and print to XPS. Then can use winzip to extract a PNG image. This will be high resolution only if a small section of the map is printed. Is it then possible to create a Garmin map from PNGs? This method would only be of use for small areas of course, not wholescale automated conversion of maps.

    Maybe the question was asked because 1:25k OS maps for the whole of the UK are readily available on the internet in QCT format but not readily availablr as a Garmin IMG?

    There used to be a program called OZIMAPTRANS that would convert QCT maps to PNG and MAP. Maybe it is still on the web somewhere.

    Can't find a tutorial anywhere for OziMapTrans and it's not in English. Anyone help with using it with QCT input files?

    @daveee3
    OziMapTrans program is in German by default, but it has an English localization too:
    Main menu -> Einstellungen -> Benutzeroberfläche/Sprache/Deutsch (Standard) -> English ...
    Besides, the program archive contains an OziMapTrans_FAQ.txt file in German, which you can put into Google translator.

    I would be interested to know if anybody has managed to create IMG files from Memory Map QCT files? I have all the UK 25k maps & also the equivalent French IGN maps.
