    You have to remove the folder iGO in you car unit. Copy the folder "iGO_Gift" in the root of your car radio. And in your Root folder "iGO" you have now "addons" folder. That is not what I told. You have to copy the "content" folder (what is inside the "addon" folder) to the root folder iGO. In this folder you have allready content folder as you can see on your picture. The maps, poi, etc must be in this this folder. That is why you have to copy ALL the content from the addons folder to the iGO folder, and click overwrite when unit tells you if you want to overwrite. Addons folder may only be used on external SD card.

    But when you download my version and follow step by step you can't go wrong.

    Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

    Kajoe,
    Further to the thread last night, i tried to install it again this morning and failed ( black screen, then closes very quickly ).
    Here is the sys text ( NOT THE FULL TEXT ) for iGO folder on my car radio that i am using.

    [folders]

    linked_root_list="/storage/emulated/0 /storage/MicroSD /extsd /storage/extsd0 /mnt/extsd0 /mnt/storage/extsd0 /external_sd0/mnt/sdcard/external_sd0 /mnt/external_sd0 /mnt/sdcard/external_sd /sdcard2 /sdcard /sdcard/sd /mnt/sdcard /mnt/sd /mnt /storage /mnt/extSdCard /mnt/external_sd /mnt/sdcard/external_sd /sdcard/external_sd /storage/extSdCard"
    ;has_secondary_root=1
    ;android_secondary_root_path="storage/emulated/0/addons"

    I have also tried this,

    [folders]
    data_folder_name="iGO_Gift"
    linked_root_list="/storage/emulated/0 /storage/MicroSD /extsd /storage/extsd0 /mnt/extsd0 /mnt/storage/extsd0 /external_sd0/mnt/sdcard/external_sd0 /mnt/external_sd0 /mnt/sdcard/external_sd /sdcard2 /sdcard /sdcard/sd /mnt/sdcard /mnt/sd /mnt /storage /mnt/extSdCard /mnt/external_sd /mnt/sdcard/external_sd /sdcard/external_sd /storage/extSdCard"
    ;has_secondary_root=1
    ;android_secondary_root_path="storage/emulated/0/addons"

    Not sure what i am doing wrong, i uninstalled everything , deleted igo_gift folder and did step by step as per your instructions and iGO will still not load.
    The storage folder on my car radio is ... storage/emulated/0 according to Total Commander.
    Thank you.

    You only must copy the complete sys.txt Do not change sys.txt

    Remove add-ons folder completely. Put your maps, poi etc. in the folders "iGO_Gift"

    Why are you not following the instructions exactly as mentioned in the downloaded file? You did not use the sys.txt from the downloaded file "5. sys.txt for internal storage folder". So I think you did not remove everything as I told you. You have to remove all from your radio and start over from the beginning with my version. If you are a bit lazy and leave things on radio I cannot help you anymore.

    Kajoe,
    I finally got the software to load on my car radio yesssssssssss.
    I used the following sys text

    This sys text entry from Boki_Srb igo isreal upload on his thread ( cheers Boki_Srb )

    Many thanks Kajoe and Boki_Srb.
    I will now try to apply the Pongo skin.

    Edit,
    I just added this entry to your sys text file and it also loaded igo,

    [folders]
    sdcardpath="%root%/storage/emulated/0/"

    So anyone with a chinese car radio try the above entry.
    I have removed the sys text info from this thread so as not to confuse this thread.

    It was no necessary to edit the text, when you had used it from folder "5. sys.txt for internal storage folder"
    But because you did use your own with with following phrase: has_secondary_root=1 you had to fill in a destination for the SDcard. When you had used my original sys.txt from folder mentioned the phrase was: has_secondary_root=0
    No destination was required.
