Many thank to the OP for taking the time and trouble to help us update our machines. For those of us that are not quite so computer savvy, this may answer a few of the questions asked. If you are already running version 257. you do not need to update to 260. Just load the new map and the activate. When you copy either the map or the activator to your sd card. Do not copy the "Folder" open the "Folder" and copy just the files to your card. The PDF instructions are good, but get confusing when mentioning the "Green" menu. it is not needed.

If for some reason the map update doesn't work for you. you can put your old map disc back in and load the database from it, and it works fine. I know because I had to do it, because I copied the activate "folder" instead of the files.

Sorry if this is a bit basic for some of you, but it is how I failed at the first attempt. Hope this may help some of you.

I have updated the firmware to K0260, from K0257. However, now I cannot seem to install the map update. Every time I try to do so, the installation prompt comes up, I press Yes, and after about 30 seconds error message 'No update device found.' comes up. This happens for both East and West maps. Any ideas?

EDIT: The problem was with the operating system I was doing this on (OS X). Redid the whole process of downloading and copying on Windows and everything worked.

    1. Yes but I strongly recommend SD card method as is the safest method!
    2. Yes, but again, SD is more practical.

    Sorry by doubble post.
    I found this

MMI 3G and 3G+ Software versions:

    P=Shipped with car; K=Update software

BNav seems to be for Basic and HNav for version with Hard-Disk

    In this page:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

So I supouse that this is for my car.
    Sorry by my English.

    Perfect
I am sorry for the delay in my response, I did the update directly from the P206 to K260, I installed the maps and finally settled activation.
    Thanks a lot.

    1 question

    May I install speed-radars or POI´s?
    Thanks
