Well, honestly I cannot give you a clear answer as there are still arguments about that from time to time..From the safety precautions I believe that is better to go trough all incremental updates but from that what I have read on various forums in the past and present I can see that most users go directly to K0257 without any issues. But please wait for another opinion (or maybe fact) because I don't want you to make any premature decisions which my lead you to later headaches..

I would personally run 0253 through it first - it probably won't need much of it but worth doing before going to 0257. You'll never need to do it again once it's at 0257....

No, because you have BNav, also known as 3G Basic.

    Hi guys,

Today I tried to update my MMI 3G High HDD but something was not working properly...

    1st step:
Delete Old Nav partition - in green menu

    2nd step:
    - Firmware upgrade from HNav_EU_K0257_5_D1 to HNav_EU_K_0257_6_D1 - done without any issues (only 2 parts were updated)
    MapStyles & MuTnrRef.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    3rd step:
Map update - 2016 6.22.4 and here is the problem. Once I choose standard update there is question mark next to map (not Y or N) and I assume that's not normal
behavior as part with question mark will not be updated.

In case that I will choose user defined SW upgrade (previously activated in green menu - SWDL-user defined mode checkbox) I can select all parts in the Audi _MMI3G and continue with download/update.

upgrade will start with download but then error message appears:

Does anyone have such an experience?

    Thank you!

    D.

I would say it's because corrupted map data/file or SD card..Try with another SD.

depends of your MMI 3G type (3G or 3GP) and your current software version. And be aware that there is no activator yet for 6.22.4 for MMI 3GP.
