I'm not surprised and I think It's better for community to see only positive feedback regarding burners which made a working copy..As we all know, most burners are incompatible for burning DVD's for RNS-E system.

The ASUS DRW-24B5ST drive is highly compatible. Every single burn I have made has been read correctly in my Mk2 RNS-E. Of course, some of the older RNS-E units have difficulty but that's down to weak lasers and dust on the lens etc.

Many thanks for this I downloaded DVD 2 Plus and burnt it to a TDK+R with a PIONEER BD-RW BDR-202 1.07-GENERAL (ATA) at 1x speed and even though it told me the speed was not compatible, I went ahead. The copy worked like a charm, I can see all the cameras and new POI's that are there, BUT, no 7 digit postcode search, does this version have this, if so what do I need to do to activate it alternately, if not is there another version with the full UK postcode available?

Many thanks for everyone involved in making this available, I for one really appreciate it

Yes, Pioneer burners are the best burners for RNS-E DVD's.

there is no full postcode search on any of the RNS-E firmware versions. this is a shame, but as long as you have the full address in actuality it isnt that much of pain to use.

    Hey, I'm new here.
I destroyed 5 DVDs till i got to your thread.
I bought a LiteOn esau208 external Burner and burned DVD1 Plus with 2,4x Speed with ImgBurn on an Verbatim DL

Not working. I don't get at least the SW-Update. Only get:

    Navigation wird initialisiert. Bitte warten...

=> should be: Navigation initialising. Please wait...

    I'm on SW: 0360
    HW: H71

    Did i forget anything?
    Could anyone help me?
I set the Booktype to DVD-R

    Thanks in advance,

    Eric
