    I have a problem

The RNS-E updates the system "firmware" and when this is done - Approx 10 min. Its says afterword - Please incert navigation DVD ?

What am I doing wrong ? The old original navigation dvd from 2007 is working fine. But not this new one. Just the update of the system went good. ?

Bad copy! Read my previous posts. RNS-E obviously isn't so picky with the software update CD, that's why you manage to successfully update the software.. But the map update is a different story..

I burned the DVD again with 3x speed - Witch is very low. But it does not accept the navigation dvd ?

As said before the original navigation DVD from 2007 work within 2 sec after loading.

I bought a brand new DL burner for this purpose and Verbatim DL disc

What else is there to try ?

There is a huge difference between the original "pressed" DVD and the copied "burned" DVD and that's the main reason why RNS-E and other original OEM Navi units accepts original discs almost instantly. You'll get only 30% (at max) reflection rate with the burned copy comparing to the factory pressed disc. If you need any further details, Google has a lot of answers..

And when we are talking about the RNS-E and some other copy sensitive units like VW RNS 310, RNS 510, MFD2/RN-S2 and some others, the burner itself plays the huge factor. If you bought yourself a brand new burner you should ask for recommendation first..The best burners for RNS-E are: Plextor inernal/external drives, all vintage Pioneer..and best of all I think it's ASUS DRW-24B5ST which is still in production and very cheap on e-bay.

Sorry couple more questions. Apologies if I'm being thick.
1: I have just brought myself an ASUS DRW-24B5ST dvd writer + Verbatim DL discs and have installed imgburn so I should be set to go right?
2: At the bottom of Guzzo99's upload it has something about HD covers could some tell me what that is.

    thanks in advance
