    Default Alpine INE-W990BT

    Hi!

For all the european market Alpine INE-W990BT ships with iGo software, but in Russia here we have Navitel installed on SD card. So, I have a plan to reinstall iGo software back.

For now I have few questions.

First of all, is there any differences between iGo Primo versions installed, for example, in INE-W920R and newer versions? Can I use version from this forum made for INE-W920R?

Second, can anyone get a copy of ALPINE folder or dump of SD card of INE-W990BT (without licenses, of cource)?

    Thanks for all.

    Hello,

Many users complain of Navitel, but not those who use iGo.
I think it is possible to replace the original software by iGo, but it requires in-depth knowledge.
You will be hard pressed to find a copy of the original Alpine iGo SD card to help you ?
Being different is neither a good or a bad thing, this means that you are brave enough to be yourself

As I've seen, it's possible to replace Navitel by Igo, even more, I think, it's not too hard to have Windows CE desktop replacing updGAVN.exe from _GAVN15_Updates.zip distributed on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] by Total commander or explorer.exe or extracting SD card from device and exploring it on PC. But, of course, will be nice (and I need it) to have a copy of original iGo SD Card to have Alpine branding, correct TMC settings and sys.txt configs.

This device, IMO, differs from INE-W920R, which distro we have on this site, and INE-W997BT, which distro we have on official Alpine site and here too. There is no dual zone and some bells and whistles we've seen on more advanced (and overpriced) devices. It seems to me that it's just have Windows CE working in parallel with firmware, otherwise it will be too complicated to have Navitel installed into it.
