Hello I transcribe the contents of the TT XL manual for this paragraph :

    establish
    owner

Tap this button to enter your name and address as the owner of your ONE / XL / XXL and change or delete the four-digit password for your ONE / XL / XXL.

Note : You can only create a four-digit password using TomTom HOME. You can only change or delete a four-digit password on your TomTom ONE / XL / XXL.

However, if you wish, you can also create a four-digit password for your ONE / XL / XXL using TomTom HOME:

1.- Connect your ONE / XL / XXL to your computer.

2.- Turn on GO and then turn on the computer.

    TomTom HOME starts automatically.

    3.- Click

Use my device in TomTom HOME.

The ONE / XL / XXL is displayed and you can then control it using TomTom HOME.

4 .- The Main Menu of the ONE / XL / XXL , click

    Change preferences.

5 .- Click Set owner. Enter the new 4-digit password to be used to protect your ONE / XL / XXL.

If this is not and can access the TT Home, then I think you'd have to resort to restore the original backup , if you saved before you add a password, or reset the factory settings in the options menu XL .

Another step if it does not work :
And regarding your problem if you do not remember your password you will have to delete or format your device and install again a Navore and map
1º Backup everything you have installed
2º Format the device (or SD if it takes SD )
    Go online to Home
3º and you reinstall the application corresponding to your gps
    or put a forum Navore
4º if you've chosen to put the original Navore and you have the backup is able to put back the original map that has
and if you've decided to put a forum Navore just have to put a map on the forum

    greeting luck
