danger Brazil - Speedcams and other alerts

As most should know what Garmin does not recognize setting direction for a tipping point has as iGO, but it includes a facility that employed where possible, can minimize this problem.

The Garmin recognizes only point of warning if that is positioned within 30m laterally drawn map enabled via the device for navigation.

Now, knowing that, in situations of dual carriageway where a point of warning should only act in one of the lanes, just move away from this point in more than 30m from the runway he should not act.

Existing points alerts on both tracks and next to the garmin should place only one point between tracks since this does not stay more than 30m away these tracks.

At an intersection where there are traffic lights with camera should place only one point in the center of the intersection that he will activate the alert for all roads crossing.

As it is still unknown automated system that allows the repositioning of a tipping point Garmin decided to create a base in GPSInfo own feeding it with contributions received in MapaRadar and also in GPSInfo own.

The points are collected manually processed by us and them, where possible, the technique is applied to 30m.

In GPSInfo site provide free fruit of that labor separated into 6 types of alerts already in GPI format ready to be uploaded to the sd card or internal memory of the GPS:
    - Spine
    - Toll
    - Danger
    - Police
    - SpeedCam RedLightcam
    - Mobile SpeedCam

These six files are updated frequently and as some altered.

For those who wish to test the fruit of that labor, after gpsinfo.com.br register on the site to drive up the download area on
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
This area will have two options block. A BIP with an alert sound in the voice of the preceding alert (WAV BIP) BIP and another without that and only with the voice of warning (WAV).

    Enjoy it

There is a way that you can make directional POI for and POI Corridors for speed cameras.
I have successfully done this using Extra POI Editor Version 5.32 by Turboccc. (using circles)
The Poi will only trigger when you are driving inside the circle (similar to Cyclops)

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
This is an Example of a POI using Circles using Turboccc EPE This POI Triggers in both directions.
If you only Draw the Circles on One side the POI then becomes directional.

We Also use the 30m system in South African SpeedCam POI (Implemented by Mr F. Viljoen).

Unfortunately Garmin has no setting direction as the tipping point has the iGo.
The garmin recognizes alert point if that is positioned within 30m laterally via employee drawn map and GPS in this situation it activates the alert to all sides creating a false alert in the sense that not SpeedCam monitors.
It's been three years that we have employed the technique of 30m successfully.
