Check whether an update is available by webupdater
Given what the time zone map does, which is automatically adjust the GPS receiver's clock based upon location, it's in your best interests to update. Besides, we're not talking a multi-megabyte download here. Time zone maps are only about 600 kilobytes. But to echo the post above me (made while I was writing this), check WebUpdater.
The other way to get Gmaptz.img
Get the .rgn file directly from this link
then delete the first 60 bytes by Hex-Editor and save as gmaptz.imgCode:Please Login or Register to see the links

Is there a need to change this file in my nuvi 755?
@JeeDee1955
I't good to have the Time Zone map updated if you travel to other time zones and want automatic correct time in your unit. The GPS unit uses UTC time from the satellites and needs an offset for current local time. The Time Zone Map helps to get the time offset from UTC depending on your current GPS location. It's just a few areas that have changed their Time Zone data so if you travel to those areas you may avoid to set the time adjustment manually if you update to the latest gmaptz.img.
This update is offered by Garmin WebUpdater if you use that to keep your unit up to date.
