Default Adding a internal SD card to most ONE models

Warning! These instructions are not for the faint of heart and you should have some experience in soldering on a SMD level!
I take no responsibilty for devices damaged as I only provide the collected info and would not know if you made mistakes.
If you do this you do it at your own risk!

Until now only the V3 had instructions on how to add more memory.
This has changed and from info collected at Opentom and some other websites I'd like to share this info:

Tested according to sources on a ONX XL and a ONE V4.
Since there no solder points that clearly state the use of a SD like on the V3 people tried to find out where these points could be located on other models.
    They found them

Please check these pics taken from a XL:

Here is the pinout for a SD (for micro SD use an adapter):

Several ONE models have a similar layout for the PCB and should be able to use these mods.

Credits go to Opentom and w w w. electrode.pl for the confirmation that it really works.

Has anyone tried to "upgrade" the memory on a Urban rider (v3)?
Any link on "an how to..."?
    Cheers!

You can only open it up and check if the circuit board offers similar soldering points.
If so do a quality scan or take a sharp pic and upload it in case you are unsure, I will check and let you know.
I have not heard of anyone checking for that on any Rider.

I want to add 4GB SD memory for the use of the Europe 2GB map.I can't see anything that looks like the board on a One.
Here are two pics from the internals:

    Does not look good
Although it seems most connections to the CPU part are available through service points,
I can not say which points to use.
A check would include getting the shematics for the CPU (in terms of the solder points on the underside) and to trace them on your circuit board.
Without the right testing equipment this is almost impossible for a novice to do.
Seems you either need to use zoned maps or download a different map.
I know it is pain for routes that go over several zones...

I've opened the tiny frames so the view should be better.
The samsung KMAKG0000M-B998 (with the S506 label on it) on the underside seems to be the memory.
On the upperside I've marked the solder points (IMO) with a red square. Now I only need to know which one goes to where.
Do you have an idea where to find a schematic?

Thanks for the great pics, but I highly doubt the connector in the middle would be for an SD.
You would need 8 contacs, but you got quite a few more to choose from.
Even if TT would have been so nice to prepare those for an SD you still would need to find out which contact goes where - again without knowledge ofthe chip layout very hard.
But maybe your pics will help to find someone with mor eknowledge than myself.
You could try to find a datasheet for the big Samsung chip and try to figure out what goes where using a sensitive multimeter, just check for continuity from the solder pad to the corresponding contact on the chip.

I cannot find any schematic from the chip. If anyone could get one it would be a good help.
I removed the frame around the chip and some numbers and letters appeared. Maybe they could be of any help as well.
To measure continuity I would have to get to the chip -besides the need for a schematic- but it seems it is still covered with that black surface.
