with skin pongo from october and sys empty doesn't pronounce the speedcams AT ALL so to have them work i got to insert in sys these strings:

Translates everything in italian and works well
In this moment my brother tests the tablet on the road so i have no possibility to cancel these strings in sys till saturday. Thanks for you help even if I doubt that is gonna work without the strings

I have deleted all lines refer to warning and speedcam from sys.txt, and TTS doesn't announce distance to camera...
I have also tried with different lang and voice files... Same, no distance. Only name and speed limit for camera

I do not have and never had such a problem.
1. There may be a problem with the voice file.
2. You need to use only the original plugins in the skin. This is a guarantee of the correct work...

Of course I'm using original content of Pongo skin...
As I said, I have also presumed, that's something wrong with voice file.... But I have tried Serbian, English, German TTS... With all of them no distance announcement.
Until now, I have never had an issue like this.

But I'm interested in which versions of voicexxx_TTS.zip you tried?
maybe the problem lies in the fact that you have config_database.lua is unadapted for skin changes Pongo?
place a sample voice.englishTTS file here (link to YOUR file where you can not hear distances !!!)

PS. I assume that the dictionary files in the i18n folder are correct?

let's say, that dictionary.voice is OK. It's not changed since last Pongo skin Update. It was OK untill now.

Anyway, here you are ... Serbian and English that I have tried.

In more detail about the cameras of average speed

for the correct warning, for the medium speed control zone, there are two possible methods of counting:

1- there must be two chambers:
- the first (the beginning of the zone) with the measured limit of restriction, for example 70 km / h
- the second (end of the zone) with a speed limit of 5 km / h or 0km / hour ,
both cameras are directed against traffic;

2- there must be one camera in any direction and an entry in speedcam_category
[speedcam_category: 3]
max_section_time = 180; is the warning time

It is possible to use both methods together, with the exception that, with max_section_time entries, the end of the zone will be farther from the second camera, otherwise the second camera will start warning about the control zone with a limit of 5km / hour or 0km / hour

when using this speedcam.zip there should not be any records about the cameras [speedcam_category: 0 - 31] and [warning] in sys.txt, since all the necessary entries are already present in the plugin.ini , you can only change the time in the record ---> max_section_time = 180, or completely delete this entry if you use only the first method is warned ii
