I have been trying to create a branding (NextGen version) for North America POIs using the branding files posted here as a template and I am having a hard time due to the lack of a tutorial and the lack of a recognizable pattern with the posted branding here.
I have seen branding with compressed BMPs, some without. Is it optional or not?
I tried to delete poi_visibilities.txt in save but the file does not exist and I have 2 files ending with the letters A & B.
For now, I just want to add icons for gas stations. Do I still need a global POI.Icons with my own petrol.icons file or just the petrol.icons file?
In the branding file, there is a poi_visibility.txt file. Inside, sometimes there is a number 5000, sometimes 3000. Which one should I use?
As you can see, I work by trials and errors but the lack of error messages make it impossible to make headway.
Can someone point me to a tutorial on creating a branding file ideally for Nextgen but even if it was for Primo or iGo, I suspect I would learn a bit?
Thanks Neoss75, lenya1000, garigor, kimyaci & and to everyone who contributed to this wonderful branding.
I like these very much, but they make Nextgen very slow. Is it possible to update it?

This is awfull. I would like to use it for my WinCE nextgen 800x480 version. But the Icons are huge and Nextgen slows down very very much. Is it possible to work on this version to make it working voor 800x480 version.
If I can do it I will, but I need to know how?
