    Default TomTom GO. Need some guidance please

    I updated my device on TT Home.

    I downloaded & installed :
    Australia 945-6176 with automatic installer & patcher.
    Message: You cannot use this map with this device.

    TT Home recommends the latest map available for my device is 945 6174, so I downloaded & installed:
    Australia 945-6174 with automatic installer & patcher.
    Message: You cannot use this map with this device.

    So I ran FastActivate, Patch Navcore:
    Message: Navcore is already patched.

    I ran Update Meta.txt:
    Message: Updated Meta.txt is dated 01/04/2015

    I then ran Patch Maps, Voices, Speedcams etc:
    Message:Incomplete Map(s):

    Australia-100262.meta => .dct ERROR
    Australia-100264.meta => .dct ERROR

    BIF File…………F :\TTGO.BIF
    KeyGen Type…..8
    Device Name…..TomTom GO
    Application………9510
    Boot Loader……..55277
    Device ID………..xxxxxxxxxxx
    Storage…………. Size 977MB, Free 487MB

    These maps have no doubt been downloaded and installed successfully by others, so I doubt that they are corrupt files.

    I don't quite know what I have done wrong, or failed to do correctly, so any help in simple terms would be greatly appreciated.

    I am a senior citizen (old bloke) who is familiar with OS-X, but am managing to do what is necessary on Win Vista on an old laptop, so please be patient.
    If I seem to be struggling, it is probably because I am

    "THANKS" in advance to anyone with the patience to see me through this.

    1. There is NO meta for that map!
    2. There is currently ONLY an Android version around with a meta, see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    3. That'll teach you to download a map from another site saying "with automatic installer & patcher"...VERY MISLEADING (and WRONG)
    4. You could always buy that map then create/share the meta with us or even offer to help buy it, see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Given my very limited understanding, I will assume that the Android version is no good for my device?
    There is no way I can afford to buy it at $90, but I will look at the joint map buy thing. Sounds like a great idea :-)

    The Android map IS fine for your navcore (9.510) which is why I suggested that version.
    Plan b) would be to use an older map (940?) which we DO have a meta for see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    I have PM'd the relevant member (Australia 945-6176) but it looks to have stalled. Hopefully he has good news, if not I might have a crack at trying ti Android fix.
    It will keep this old guy busy for a while no doubt ;-)

    Relevant member...? Unless he's actually bought the map himself I'm reckoning he (the uploader) will quote his post:- "Not usable yet! No meta code!"

    Ah, OK; I thought you meant the waster who misleads people into believing all maps "with automatic installer & patcher" work without a meta....as if!

    PS we have already discussed sponsoring various Oz maps & came to the conclusion that the basic Oz 945_6176 would be the one to get as people can use the all singing/all dancing Android version for the high-end devices using navcore v9.0** or later already instead of having to buy the Oz 945_6174 version

    It looks like the "BUY" for the Australian map has not got much traction.
    I haven't given up yet,...still struggling with the Android option ;-)
    Downlaoded it, deleted the .dct file, ran fastactivate, still getting "cannot use this map blah blah"
    I think it might be a "Nesting" problem. The battle continues for now.

    Unfortunately I am not a member of USENET.NL and 8.33 Euros a month, for one or two downloads a year, is not within my meagre budget.
